For 40 years, I rode the diet yo-yo. I lost and regained the same weight so many times I estimate I've lost over 2,000 pounds — in pieces — across my lifetime.
I knew every diet. I was disciplined enough to succeed at them. For a while. And then something would happen — stress, emotion, a moment I couldn't control — and I'd be back at the beginning, wondering what was really going on.
One morning I stood in my closet surrounded by three sizes of clothing, held together with a safety pin just to get dressed. I thought: this was supposed to be my year. And that's when I finally faced the truth.
I was using food to manage feelings I hadn't dealt with. I was eating to soothe stress, find comfort, and get through difficult moments — all at once. No diet had ever touched that. Because no diet can.
When I finally addressed what was actually driving my eating — the emotional roots, not the calorie counts — the weight came off. I reached my goal in 2012. I've maintained it since then, more than 13 years later.
Not by being perfect. Not through superhuman willpower. By understanding what was really happening — and having tools to work with it instead of against myself.
That's what this workshop is about. And I built it specifically for women who are ready to understand what's really going on — and finally move forward.
