That’s what I told myself after years of gaining and losing the same pounds over and over. I knew every plan, every trick, every cheat. I didn’t need more information, I needed to understand why I kept sabotaging myself.

One morning, I stood in my closet surrounded by three sets of clothes: skinny, fat, and “Really Renée?” clothes. I’d blown through my fat clothes and had to pin together my waistband with a safety pin just to get dressed. I was humiliated and thought, This was supposed to be my year.

Then I learned the truth: it wasn’t about willpower, it was about emotional eating. I was stuffing down feelings and following them with food, hoping it would comfort me. That was the real issue - not hunger, not discipline.

When I faced my stuff instead of stuffing my face, everything changed. I reached my goal weight in 2012, and today, over a decade later, I’ve kept it off. Now I help women over 40 finally conquer emotional eating, break the yo-yo cycle, and reclaim their best selves.
